During venom testing we test for honey bee, wasp, yellow jacket, white faced hornet, and yellow hornet. The venom testing is all intradermal testing on both arms. EMLA cream is applied to both arms and covered with saran wrap. Please read the EMLA section of the website on how to appropriately apply the EMLA cream one hour before your appointment. Different dilutions are tested and results are interpreted by the nurse. Dr Pichichero will meet with you at the end of the appointment and determine if venom injections are necessary. Testing takes approximately 90 minutes.
